Cranberry 360
Responsible for all design and post-production, based on a storyboard created by another designer. Collaborated with another designer for the production of all live action video footage.
Adobe After Effects x Adobe Premiere x Mocha AE x Maxon Cinema 4D x DaVinci Resolve
PRE-PRODUCTION
After a script was finalized, storyboards were created by the other designer on the team
PRODUCTION
The entirety of the live action footage was filmed on a BlackMagic 4k camera on a greenscreen set we built ourselves. We used 3D tracking markers to assist with the post-production. We also used interactive lighting from a real 8mm projector as well as various gels. Both myself and the other designer collaborated on lighting and filming.
GRAPHIC ASSETS
Custom futuristic UI elements were created in Adobe Illustrator, then animated with Adobe After Effects. 3D assets were added with Element 3D within After Effects.
3D ASSETS
3D models of the old dental mask as well as the new Cranberry 360 mask were created modeled, textured, rigged, and lit with Cinema 4D.
POST-PRODUCTION
I was the sole designer responsible for all post-production. After the raw footage was compiled, a rough cut was made in Adobe Premiere Pro, then sent to DaVinci Resolve for the initial color correction. From there, the footage was keyed in Adobe After Effects. Shots required rotoscoping were done in Mocha AE.
MOTION TRACKING
Every shot required motion tracking; from tracking fingertips for UI interaction to tracking camera movement for stabilization and everything in between. Tracking was accomplished through Mocha AE and After Effect’s built in point tracker.
ANIMATION x COMPOSITING
All 2D elements were animated in After Effects, while the mask animations were made in Cinema 4D and brought into After Effects using Cineware. After the shots were tracked, keyed, and rotoscoped, the animated elements were composited in via After Effects. Final music, voiceover, and sound effects were added in Premiere Pro
